Leo D. Parsons is the Retired President & CEO of CTDI. He celebrated a distinguished career with CTDI from 1982, following his graduation from Penn State University, until his retirement at the end of 2025. From 2020 to 2025, Leo led CTDI’s continued global growth through strategic investments in technology, automation, organizational development, and the company’s customer-first, KPI-driven approach. He concluded his 43-year tenure by overseeing the transition from second-generation to third-generation Parsons family leadership. As CEO, Leo consistently emphasized that CTDI’s employees are its greatest asset, a belief reinforced during his tour of 50 global locations in his final six months as CEO. He remains committed to promoting CTDI’s people-first culture, ensuring employees feel valued and view the company not just as a workplace, but as a family.
Since joining CTDI in 1982, Leo played a key role in expanding the company’s engineering, repair, and logistics capabilities. In the 1980s, he led the growth of CTDI’s Branch operations from two locations to 15 across the United States, England, and South Korea, a network that has since expanded to more than 100 sites worldwide. He also guided CTDI’s entry into wireless infrastructure and handset repair, supporting major wireless carriers through multiple technology transitions from AMPS to 5G. His efforts positioned CTDI’s IT organization as a strategic competitive advantage.
Before becoming CEO, Leo was President & COO, where he advanced CTDI’s focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and global expansion. Working closely with the Leadership Team, he strengthened CTDI’s operating philosophy of innovation through collaboration, technology investment, and ongoing development of automation and IT systems.
He continues to support the company as a member of the CTDI Board of Directors and CTDI Europe’s Supervisory Board. He is also VP of the Foundation for Catholic Education.
Leo is Past-Chairman of the Bishop Shanahan High School (BSHS) Board of Directors and recipient of the BSHS Gold Medal Award (2005). In 2020, he was honored by the National Catholic Educational Association with the Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award for his contributions to Catholic education.
He was on the YMCA of Greater Brandywine Board of Directors from 2004-2013, serving as Board Chairman from 2009-2011. During his time there, Leo was instrumental in the organization’s capital campaigns and mergers. In recognition of his leadership and dedication, Leo received the Community Partner Award (2010, on behalf of CTDI) and Distinguished Service Award (2012); along with Maryanne, he was honored with the Service to Youth Award (2005) and the Gary R. Green Community Impact Award (2017). Leo and Maryanne were recognized again in 2026 receiving the YMCA of Greater Brandywine Valley Distinguished Service award for setting a standard for leadership for others to follow.
Leo is also an active supporter of Partners in Outreach, a non-profit founded by Maryanne that focuses on improving the lives of Chester County children by closing literacy gaps, supporting summer camp participation, and enhancing holiday and cultural expansion.
Leo and his wife, Maryanne, reside in Chester County. They are the proud parents of four children - Matt, Mark, Leo, and Megan - and grandparents to eight grandchildren. Throughout his career, Leo especially valued the opportunity to work alongside - and mentor - the third-generation Parsons family members, including his sons.
